The family-run Lancaster Hotel, built in 1850, stands next to St Columba's Cathedral and offers sea views across Oban Bay. From the front rooms, guests look down the Firth of Lorne nearly to Easdale and across to the islands of Lismore, Ardnamurchan, and Mull. Each room includes a TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room with a view that includes the island of Kerrera and the distant peaks of Mull.
