“I found the position by the canal quite appealing, particularly for those enjoying canal walks or cycling routes, with the added benefit of surprisingly good value, especially when booking direct. The staff consistently made a strong positive impression, and the food, from hearty haggis to well-executed fish and chips, generally hit the mark, though I did note the rooms could benefit from some updates. It's a place I would consider returning to.”
